Hi,

I'm helping my friend who is waiting for outland sponsor approval. She sent her application at the end of May and still hasn't received any notification from CIC. Now they are working on applications received June 20th, so it is very late.

We tried calling the call centre, but we had to entre in a UCI number before being transferred, and she doesn't have a UCI because she hasn't been approved yet. How do we get through to an operator?? Do you know the series of numbers to press????

if you call the 613-944-4000 number then i think it is:

1,1,2,1,2,1,0

i am not sure if it's the same as the 800 number. it's worth a shot! i do know the 613 number bumps you over to the same call center and messaging system.

thanks,
we're on hold now. if we can't get through I'll try your sequence.

Thank you!

Here's a tip: don't call between 11:30 am and 2 pm. There aren't any operators available, they go to lunch. It always tells me they can't transfer me to an operator at lunch hour. (I assume it's because of lunch).

that's funny. when my husband would call in the beginning, he always called during lunch and got through quickly.

We got through at about 11:45am. The lady was helpful and my friend found out she had gotten sponsor approval about 3 weeks ago. Thanks!

I don't have the UCI and I just press some random 8 digit numbers, it will ask for applicant's year of birth, it should put you to the operator queue after you punch in the year of birth.

once you are asked the UCI number, don't put any number and wait, the voice will ask again and if you still do not insert any numbers you will be directed to the call center.
You can also press on 0 o * and you will be redirected.

I once called and I was told that the waiting time was too long and I was disconnected. I just called again and got thought.
