Hi Guys:

I just withdraw my family sponsorship application recently. I notify CIC to withdraw my application using Web form and also get reply says my application has been terminated. However, I am confused about the email. When I submit my request from web form, I already attached my receipt. Does this email ask me to submit my receipt again? If yes, how to send the receipt and to whom? It is not mentioned in the email and the it is from "Question-DoNotReply". So I guess I can't reply to this email

quote from email

As your relative has withdrawn their Application for Permanent Residence, please note the following
with respect to the fee(s) you submitted for this application:
 A refund of the processing fees for the Application for Permanent Residence is applicable as the
office had not initiated the processing of the application for your relative(s).
 A refund of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee(s) submitted is applicable.
Given the above, a total refund in the amount of $1040.00 is applicable. Please provide a copy of
your fee payment receipt in order to initiate applicable refunds.
All refunds will be processed
within six to eight weeks and will be issued to the payee. If the fee was paid by credit card, it will be
credited back to the credit card account. Otherwise, a cheque will be mailed to the payee’s address in
approximately six weeks to eight weeks.

You can just send another case-specific inquiry with the receipt again just to be safe, if the site lets you since they say it's been "terminated" (mention you've already submitted the receipt with your withdrawal request). What VO did they mail this from? You should be able to find the email address for it.

It's likely they have the receipt and you just got a generic form letter they didn't bother to edit.
