Hi.
Not sure is I am in the right place .
I been landed since 74 . Never knew about pr or citizenship I was 6 both my parents are illiterate. When they started the process of citizenship . I got arrested . Charges did get dropped . I got a replacement of landed but only certified copy. From 99 I bern arrested so many times . Most being from a bad relationship and all getting dropped . Due to all these courts . The stats change now you need proof of eligibility to work. Sin is not good enough. How does one work around this . Can not apply fir pr card now?

They now do not accept work eligibility without a card . I finished my security guard training and they need the card . Older pension will not be available without it. Yes never needed but to even deal with all ministry of ontario asks for card if you need new sin card any government

You simply need to apply for a PR card. I would get the application in as soon as possible since it will take a few months to process.

They van send you back if you apply for a pr card and have a criminal record
Didn't you say that the charges were always dropped?

The law is this
  • 36. (1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible on grounds of serious criminality for
    • (a) having been convicted in Canada of an offence under an Act of Parliament punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of at least 10 years, or of an offence under an Act of Parliament for which a term of imprisonment of more than six months has been imposed;

    • (b) having been convicted of an offence outside Canada that, if committed in Canada, would constitute an offence under an Act of Parliament punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of at least 10 years; or

    • (c) committing an act outside Canada that is an offence in the place where it was committed and that, if committed in Canada, would constitute an offence under an Act of Parliament punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of at least 10 years.

If you have never been convicted for a crime that has a maximum sentence of at least 10 years, or have not been in jail for more than six months, you will not be inadmissible on the basis of any criminal records.

Well to be clear, there are a few other provisions relating to organized crime, crime against humanity, terrorism etc.. I'm kinda assuming you haven't done anything that serious!
