Hi
I don't have a work background (only finished high school, only worked in hospitality - bars restaurants cafe) that I can get a work sponsorship through and Ive used my one year working holiday. I was thinking about studying but it seems like studying for a yeae isn't gonna help except for letting me stay an extra year to work. How do I work towards a PR without work skills or a family member to help me?
Currently on a tourist visa that ends in June...

Family sponsorship or through skilled work are basically the only 2 options. Without those you are most likely out of luck.

You would be advised to go back to school in a skilled trade that Canada is looking for, get some work experience, then try for PR.

Wellll then that sucks.. But thanks for the reply
I read about skilled trades and it says that to be eligible to apply you have to
Have at least 2 years of full-time work experience in an eligible skilled trade;
Have an offer of full-time employment for a total of at least one year; or
Have a certificate of qualification in your skilled trade issued by a province or territory; and
have had the job for at least 5 years

Is it really that strict?
And are there a way to find what skilled trades they are looking for? Found this but not sure how accurate it is

Yes - it's strict. If you don't meet these minimum requirements your application will be automatically refused.

If you can afford the international student fees, I've heard that going to university/college in Canada for a skilled trade and then working here on a Post Graduate Work Permit, is a good route to eventually have a good shot and getting PR status.
