How to get LMIA

Hello everyone,
I just finished my study and I got my work permit so I thinking to work as Manager in Pizza hurt store in Northern Ontario so I am confused about LMIA. Can I get it easily? Owner run this store since one month only. He wants to give me to run this store as Manager. Can I do that?. He also offer me to do 25% partnership, so Can I do that? How it's gonna to work..please give me some information.

Assuming you are on a PGWP which is an open work permit you can do any job you want other than work in health which requires a medical.

As for getting an LMIA your employer would need to apply for that, pay a 1000 dollar fee and by advertising the position to ensure no other candidates available so suggest you research LMIAs on the CIC website. Plus there are requirements for a business to show they are established so whether this owner can do that having only owned for a month ?

As for partnership assume you know that Pizza Huts are run as franchises with strict rules for the franchisee so whether they are allowed to partner with anyone no idea. At some point you might need legal advice on the legality as well as questioning whether whilst you are a temporary resident whether if you are allowed to become a partner and if investing money especially if a PR application fails is a good idea. Partnerships unlikely to come for free.

There are no easy options for immigration so only advice is to not get swayed by any mention of partnerships being a way to persuade immigration to approve a PR or an LMIA application, will make no difference even you owned 50 or 100 percent.
