How to get job offer while waiting for ITA? (NOC 2173 - Software Engineer)

Hi,

Is there already any post or any pointers on this?

My CRS is 462 and while waiting for next draw I would like to know if it is possible to get a job offer being outside of Canada? If anyone has done it before please share steps you took.

Also, be weary of calling yourself a Software 'Engineer' in Canada. To be able to formally call yourself any sort of Engineer in Canada, you need to have completed one of the many types of Bachelor of Engineering (Such as Software Engineering) from a Canadian Engineering University. You'll get a metal Engineering Ring once you've done this.

Instead call yourself a Software Developer whilst you are working in Canada, ESPECIALLY when dealing with CIC.

Almost zero chance. Nobody wants to hire someone from a foreign country who doesn't have any Canadian work experience and has no work rights in Canada.

There may be exceptions for people who have a skill that is in high demand, or for those that have pre existing connections to a Canadian employer.
