Hi. I would like to get some advice please. Im currently on EE with a score of 413. I was looking for programs in Canada to be able to get some more points being afraid that the round of invitations never get to the score I have. Anyway I found a College and Internship ONE-year program in Vancouver. its 6months studying and 6 more on an unpaid internship. How do I know if by doing this specialization will give me points? or at this point is just better to way to the score goes down? I dont have any option to study in Toronto or Ontario as I want since as an international student the least you would have to pay for a one year program is $14,000 or so. (which If im not wrong is the minimum study time that will give me some points)

Thank you!

IIRC qualified college diploma programs has to be over 2 years in length?

If the program is just 1 year, no points for it

Tell a bit about yourself, how did you get your points, than maybe we can suggest something here. (IELTS scores, experience, education, spouse ? )

Im 27 years old. Single. No relatives in Canada. I did my ECA which only validated my High School Diploma. it didn't give me any relevant assessment for my 3 year Fashion Program which i did in Colombia (by any relevant I mean they assessed my degree as a course and that degree level is not an option on EE) . I have 3 years of work experience in Colombia as a Fashion Designer. I did a ONE year postgraduate program in Toronto.Canada which later allowed me to work full time in Canada (under the PSWP) for a year as a Administrative and Financial Assistant. Then my work permit wasn't extended due to LMIA. it expired a year ago so I had to came back to Colombia and I have a CLB 7 on IELTS. Im currently studying to get improve my IELTS but I know that at my best if im not wrong i only can improve 16 points. I didn't have the chance to be able to apply to the Ontario Province Program since my Fashion Degree is not a "professional" degree. is a Technical and is not even valid outside my country. otherwise I would have had all the necessary requirements. :(

Ok, so what level of education do you select under EE ? Just High School Diploma ?

Here is what i see:
age:110 points
Canadian work Exp: 40 points
Education: 30 points (for high school) you can get 90 points here if somehow you can translate your diplomas to 1 year Canadian
Canadian work Exp 1 year
Foreign work exp 3 years
IELTS: 116 points (clb7) if you get clb9 it would bump it to 136 points

I played in CRS tool and it seems like if you get CLB9 and will be able to show that you have at least one year at university than you will have 461 points

I just do not understand why WES would not accept your 3 year education ?
My suggestion is:
Get ielts to CLB9
Work on your education credentials, take some courses or continue you 3 year program so you can get degree that WES will convert to something higher than high school.
