Hi all,

I do not know anybody in Canada and need a way of collecting my PR card. So I need affordable accommodation, with an address I can use, for around 60 days.

If I were to stay in Canada and wait for the PR card, does anybody know how I can find cheap accommodation lasting a couple of months? Most search engines only give hotels and hostels. I need a place I can have my card posted to, and somewhere affordable. Like somebody's home who takes in lodgers. Does anybody know how I can find out about such accommodation? Ideally near to Toronto, St John's, or Halifax.

Many thanks

Hello. Can someone explain to me what a lodger's license agreement is? I found a great place that I will be renting for a long time, but the owner requires an agreement. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

Rental agreement ia called a lease. Leases will vary between landlords and by provinces. Make sure you read your lease before signing it and ask questions if you don’t understand something. Sounds like it is your first lease so there is a good chance you may need further clarification or you may have some questions.

The poster asked what's a" license", while you answered what's a "lease". License is not a lease. License is more short term and lease is more long term.
