One more question:

what r my chance of getting a full time job offer before applying PR in Canada to increase my points. Is it possible for me to apply and upon the successful clearing of the interview get a confirmed offer of employment frm any Canadian company before i apply for a PR since it will increase my no. of points tht i will get?

The Canadian companies prefere those applicants who are already residing in Canada. But there is no harm in applying because who knows that you may get an offer from any company.
