how to extend student visa and study permit ?

Hi , I am an international full time student in Toronto, my student visa and study permit are expiring in July 2013. I upgraded my one year program to two year program so I need to extend my study permit and student visa too. I know how to extend study permit but have no idea how to extend student visa. Do I really need to extend both of them or not ? If YES , then please tell me how to do.

To renew your study permit you have to apply to Vergeville, Alberta. For Temporary Resident Permit you have to apply to Ottawa, Ontario. You only need to apply for TRP if you plan to take a trip outside Canada.
