Hi All, I have completed my 1095 days requirement as a pr and planning to apply for citizenship. I became eligible on Jan 7 and travelled to India on Jan 17th. I need to be in India until end of this year and need to apply for citizenship before Sep 29, 2024. Hence I decided to apply while I am India. I am having trouble on entering the last period of absence from Canada, as I can only enter the date left as 01/17/2024 and not sure what to put as date returned to canada, since I am still abroad. Appreciate if someone can suggest with this. Below is my scenario,

1. my last date of absence was between june-aug 2024, and I became eligible on 01/07/2024. now left the country on 01/17/2024. Not sure how to show this on my physical presence.
2. If I start my application today the eligibility period is shown as between 02/19/2019 and 02/19/2024. Now I am not sure how to show my absence between 01/17/2024 and the current date. Appreciate if someone can throw some light. TIA.

Thanks in Advance.

You can't. The calculator assumes you're in Canada.
Your best bet would be to enter the day you sign the application as a return date, and add a letter of explanation asking to ignore that last day as it adds one day of physical presence you shouldn't be credited for, and that's it.

Hi! I'm facing the same problem as I'm trying to apply while still in India. Is there any chance that it can complicate the case or delay the processing?
Thanks.
