How to count work experience?

Hello everyone,

I am about to create my EE profile and I have a few question about counting work experience. I have been working in the field that I am claiming points for since May 2017. However, I was working on a casual contract with hours ranging anywhere between 4-50 hours/week till 16th January 2018. I was then offered a full time contract on 16th January 2018 and completed my 1 year if full time work experience today.

When claiming points for work experience, should I claim points since the day I started working as a casual (May 2017) or is it better just to claim points from 16th of January 2018?

If I count all the hours of employment, my total comes to around 1.75 years of work experience (calculated equivalent to 30 hours/week)

Has someone had a similar experience?

Irrespective of hours, u are 0.25 years short of 2 complete years. Even if u have completed 2 years u Wud not have got any extra points on EE scale, however on FSW scale u could have recieved 2 additional points. So consider your experience as 1 year

Thanks for the reply! I know I will be getting points only for 1 year. I was just confused if I should put the start date as May 2017 or the day I signed the full time contract in January 2018.

I worked full time (70 hrs) per pay period for 2 years. During my employment, I only worked 7 hrs and 33 hrs in 2 pay period. What should I do? How to count my work experience?
