Hi,

I have a concern about how to determine the primary occupation for work history under Express Entry.

I have 3 years' engineer job outside Canada and the job title is under NOC Skill A level.
Meanwhile, I have 1 year's teaching job inside Canada and the job title is also under NOC skill A level.

I am wondering which one of the above two jobs I should use as the primary occupation. Because for me, I assume the Canadian work experience is more valuable than the other country's work experience, however, that 3 years jobs is much longer than the 1 year job in Canada.

If anyone is familiar about express entry, would you help me about this?

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Shun

As long you can pick up a reference letter you can claim anything to be primary occupation. Since both of the mentioned jobs cleared the mandatory requirement of "least 1year experience" you can add 3 year job as primary and 1 year job as secondary and claim points for your 4 year experience.

Just reiterating , add the work details for once you can claim points and obtaining work reference letter.
