How to check study permit application status

Hello everyone,

I am from Bangalore, India. I had applied for a study permit on Nov 17th, 2011. I got a letter from the Immigration Officer on Dec 22nd, 2011 asking me to clarify on the authenticity of my educational certificates within 30 days. I mailed a response letter on Dec 29th, 2011 with additional documents.

I haven't received any word from Immigration officials yet. I had initially applied for visa using vfs global services. I wanted to know how to check the status of application and when can I expect to get a response from Immigration officials.

hi, this is only Indian applicants ??? or for any 1???
 
The vfs Visa tracker is of no help. It shows the dispatch date of the letter that the Immigration office mailed to me. I am not able to check the status of my application after I sent the response letter.

Is there any other way to check or should I wait till I receive another letter?
