how to check application status of amendment of work permit?

I had sent my amendment form on 29th Sept to Ottawa. Can I know how to check the status apart from calling CIC and waiting for 15-20 minutes on the helpline number? I logged in to mycic but it shows nothing. Is there any way to check online? ANY?

You can call to CIC and ask the update. I dont see anything from mycic although I sent the amendment form on July and I am waiting the mail. I called to CIC for many times. The answer is always same that wait more to get a mail! I think, people will know their status by mail.

Hello. No there was no way to check that. I called after a month and they said they have mailed it and I got it a week later

Thanks so much for replying. I got an email today and they say they have sent my documents and should reach within 6 weeks(hopefully less).

No problem. It shouldn’t take that long, fingers crossed. However keep in mind the Canada Post strike.
