Hi everyone,
This forum has been an extremely valuable resource for me as I prepared and send my application for PR last spring. My fiancé is Canadian and he was sponsoring me (an American). We had lived together in the US for 4 1/2 years at the point of application.
When the strike happened we were pretty upset, I had received a work permit but the job and income were not ideal (although I am definitely thankful I was able to work). As the waiting times grew longer my fiancé I were both offered better paying and more appealing jobs in US by a friend. With no resolution to the strike in sight we decided to leave Canada and return to the US to work. I applied for PR in March, so my application has not made it through step one yet.
My question is, what's my next step? How do I can cancel my application? I'm sure that's the only action I can take since I filed an inland application and am no longer in Canada. Any advice anyone has will be greatly appreciated
