Hi,
I landed on 15 Oct 2015 as a Permanent resident and then travelled back to home country on 15 Nov 2015. I came back to Canada in 15 Feb 2018 and living here since that time.
I am using physical presence calculator which is asking to write the absences between 2016-07-17 and 2021-07-16.

Can you help me how to document my first absence "15 Nov 2015 to 15 Feb 2018 " OR "17 July 2016 to 15 Feb 2018" ?
Its giving me an errors if i select 15 Nov 2015 to 15 Feb 2018 "an absence you have entered is partially or completely outside the relevant five-year period. please check that the dates are correct."

Yup, the OP is right. Even if you tried to, you can't enter the dates prior to the start date of the eligibility period shown in the physical presence calculator. The application won't accept that input. If your absence began before the start date of the eligibility period, the "From" date of your first absence should be the start date of the eligibility period.
