How to bring my wife when PR is in process?

Hi I am an permanent resident. I am getting married this may and would like to know is there any way by which I can bring here to Canada?
I saw the PR application status and it shows 16 months for New Delphi visa office.

Some of my colleagues mentioned about bringer her in visitor visa once the PR file number is obtained. But I could not find any one bringing their wife under this way.
Should I have to just wait for PR?

Any guidance would be of great help... Thanks in advance friends...

Keep in mind that those numbers are in the worst case scenario.
Missing documents, forms, more proofs of relationship needed, etc...
