We are planning to move to canada from usa, so i just want to gather as much information as i can, can you all please help out.
We are currently have chase and capitol one bank in usa. We are also planning to sell our house so we should have a decent amount of usd dollar. My question is how can i bring it to canada (i dont want to bring all cash, probably couple k to spend just in case emergency) what other method can i bring my money beside cash? I read about transfer bank to bank but usually a candian bank account can only be open in person. Can i also ask my banks to give me a transfer of fund? Will it be available soon once I deposit it. Also the transfer of fund should be in usd dollar so when i deposit to canadian bank will the ammount change to cad dollar? Will i lose any amount of money when transfer and exchange it from usd to cad
