How to approach a Local MP ? Please HELP

Hi all.....
I would like to reach out to the local MP and seek some help regarding my closed WP, its been 160 days and there is no update yet.
I have travel plans coming up so I'm little worried.
Can someone here please guide me how to approach them.

You are within normal processing times so an MP will be able to do very little. They typically just report that your file is being processed.
