Hello Friends,

My wife is pregnant and we are expecting our baby by April 2019. We came to canada 6 months ago. My wife is not working and I am the only person working. I am planning to bring my mother by end of March 2019 so that she can be here with us during the pregnancy time. There are few questions that I am looking for an answer
1) Can i apply for Visitor visa for my mom from Canada as my doctor said she can give us a letter if required for the visa?
2) Does my income matters for a visitor visa?
3) How long it will take if we apply for a visitor visa to get approved?
4) Do we need to take a insurance for my mom if she visits canada?
5) Is there a medical test during the visa procedure?

Appreciate all your answers and suggestions in advance.
Thank You.

From the perspective of the visa officer, bringing in your mother to take care of your wife and newborn child is seen as illegal work. This is not a valid reason to apply for a TRV. Mentioning your wife’s pregnancy at all in your mom’s TRV application will backfire.

Re-think this application. You shouldn’t prove why she has to go to Canada. You should prove why she should leave.
