I'm eligible for openwork permit but should I apply for a regular work permit extension?

Are you currently in Canada and what status do you have at the moment and how did you get it and when does it expire? In your previous permit/visas applications did you list a city that was seriously impacted by the earthquake?

currently in Canada on open work permit. I got it from my spouse's student permit. My city was not impacted
