Hello house,

Please I am in Nigeria, and I applied for work Visa to Canada through my company as an Intra-company transferee, but was refused today stating they are not sure I will return to Nigeria after my 2 years based on purpose of visit.
My application is not a visiting Visa but a work Visa application.
Why am I denied and stating that purpose of visit.
Please can you tell me how I can appeal this decision because I suppose to have started working in Canada by now according to my job offer letter.

Many regards

If you want to appeal, you will need to hire a lawyer in Canada to represent you and should expect to spend around $5,000 for the lawyer's services. It will take sevearl months to appeal with no guarantee of a positive result.

The better option is to reapply if you think you can overcome the reasons for refusal by demonstrating stronger ties to your home country. While you are coming to Canada on a visitor visa, you still must demonstrate ties (just like you do for a visitor visa). Purpose of visit is a valid reason for a work permit to be refused. IRCC has concerns you want to remain in Canada long term rather than just coming over for a year or two to work temporarily.

Your post is confusing given back in 9/2018 you posted that you had been granted your permit and yet now you say you have been declined which is it ?

Yes, My own application then was approved, while my spouse visa application was declined.

Now around 2020 May I submited my application for the renewal of my own work permit to extend it for 2 more years, but due to the fact that my company was seriously affected by the COVID 19 because borders was shut for people to come to Canada (My company is a travel company and we deals in hosting conferences and tourist services) I have to return to Nigeria, where the visa and work permit I have then got expired, then the call of IRCC came in and met me outside Canada, and I told him every truth. "He asked me about Covid19 in Nigeria, and I told him there is no COVID19 in Nigeria to my own belief, and he hunged up on me, few minutes to the call, my extension application was refused"

I then re-applied for a fresh work visa application as an ICT adding my 2 years working experience in Canada, then I was declined again but at this time with inadmisibility and this gave me a tough time as i have invested all my saving and earnings in Canada.

I don't know if there is something that can still be done to reverse this issue or not

You need a lawyer.

Please help if it is about getting a lawyer,
What would that cost me?
How long would that be?
Is there an assurance of getting me cleaned?

Thanks

It will cost several thousand dollars. There is zero assurance.
