Hello, All

I have received PR and plan to travel to Canada in Feb.

I am getting married soon and will need to get my spouse added as dependent. Has anyone gone through this process ? What are the timelines and processes involved?

-Thanks

After getting married, gather all the required documents for your spouse such as passport, PCC, Medical and POF. Inform IRCC by raising a CSE about the marriage. You'll have to submit the documents and send back your COPR. Later you will receive a new PPR for you and your spouse.

Thanks a lot for replying. Is there any timeline as to how long it usually takes to get the new PPR ?

Seems like it's taking 3+ months these days.

Now it's taking almost 2 years (at least for my brother in law's spousal dependent add on). Is this consistent with what you've been seeing as well these days?
