With the CIC telephonic contact almost impossible due to too many appliactions I am stuck. I had sponsored my wife 9 months ago and now she has recived her passport request email. However, she gave birth to our son couple months ago. I had notified CIC and delhi immigration via email about the birth. they did not give a proper acknowledgement. now i have to add my son to the application and i am finding it difficult to understand the proper procedure. Please advice me if anyone has had similar experiences and the solutions to this isssue. appreciate all replies. :( :'(

send a case specific inquiry through the cic website and make note of all the information. it will probably be helpful to have your wife include this information when she responds to her Passport request, and she should respond directly to the PPR email with the information about the baby. Include the birth certificate in ALL of these attempts. That way, you've covered all your bases.

do not let your wife land as a pr until you cic notifies you of what to do to get the PR approval for your baby. if you do not get a response from a case specific inquiry from any of the above as her PPR deadline gets closer, then reach out to your canadian MP for assistance.

Thanks for the reply Boss!! Much appreciated!!
Actually We have decided to not send the wife's passport to the embassy for now. We have now sent the Message and email to CIC through their website. We are hoping once we do the paper work for adding my son to the application. There will be a passport request for wife n son at the same time. This might take a few extra weeks/months but worth trying. We have thus far emailed delhi high commission and used the webform throught the cic website as well. :) Please share any other advice or ideas if u might.

if it's possible, i would recommend sending a duplicate of your case specific inquiry to the email address that requested your wife's passport, or a hard copy to the visa office listed in the ppr request so they don't assume you are ignoring the request.
