Hello
I have been selected for my parents invitation.

I heard if you are short of LICO then you can pay extra tax for last three years just to reach LICO.

Is it true?? It sounds weird though.
or is there anyway i can get LICO??

Thanks in Advance.

No - there's no way to pay extra tax to achieve LICO. You have to demonstrate that you have made enough income to meet LICO. If you failed to declare income in a past income tax returns, then you can revise that tax return to include that additional income. Obviously if you do that you'll owe more tax and potentially have to pay a penalty as well.

Thanks a lot for your reply. But what if i tell them i did cash job. I know it could be harmful saying this after 3 years.

But still i wana confirm. I wont mind paying extra tax and penalty.

Unusual as it is to be happening this way round (people normally seek to reduce rather than increase), you're still asking for help committing tax fraud.

If you're being truthful - then it won't be an issue. If you're planning on lying about having a cash job - that's a horrible idea. Lying in your tax return is a federal crime.

the government can easily know you lied because you're suddenly declaring income, and that income allowed you to meet LICO, my advice is dont do it, thats tax fraud, they might even ask u to provide proof you earned the extra money

My question to you is why did you even bother applying when you didn't meet LICO? You just took someone else's spot to apply for their parents

Thanks Guys for your suggestion. Yeah i should not lie to cra or whosoever..

Wow both tax fraud and immigration fraud in one shot. That would be a double whammy if caught.
