I LIVED IN ITALY FOR THREE MONTHS, AND THEN I CAME OUT AND SPENT TIME IN MY COUNTRY. THEN AGAIN I SPENT 6 MONTHS IN ITALY. THIS WAS IN 1988. DO I NEED A POLICE CLEARENCE?

I received my file number in March 2012. The Ecas shows "In Process". Then my files were transferred to Ottawa from Buffalo in May. How long will it take to finish the processing of my file? I applied in the category of FSW. Please explain. Now they have instructed us not to make any enquiry through their recent bulletin. Thanks.
