Hey guys. I got my CoPR late in June. When we applied we planned to settle in Ontario. However a family member has become very ill and now that I can work on Canada we are thinking of moving to my husbands home town in BC to be close to his sick family member. What issues may I run into having my CoPR listing a town in Ontario but landing and residing in BC? I'm not sure how long we will be in BC.. Could be 6 months, a year or more or just a few weeks depending on my husbands military leave/ contract. If it's only a few weeks I won't land, I will wait. But if it turns into months or years I obviously. Will land. But I wasn't sure if I need to know ahead of time and inform CIC or what I need to do.

After landing you can move to anywhere in Canada to live, no restriction. (unless you guys came on provincial nomination)

It doesn't matter what destination is listed on the COPR unless Quebec is involved.

You are free to land as a PR in BC, stay in BC, live in BC. There is no need to inform CIC ahead of time.

Thank you both!! :-[ If it's not one stress to deal with, it's another! I appreciate your quick responses!
