okk it seems the course is relevant but still some user got rejection due to same reason. Just tell ur friend that re-apply under general category as some students got visas in general category apart from spp rejection.. Go for it

can you clarify difference between general and spp category what does spp stands for ?
The basic difference is the proof of funds u show,
For SPP u need to show an educational loan equal or more than 80% of ur tuition fees and living expenses for 1 yr in canada.
In general u can show the funds in ur or ur sponsors account.

SPP is faster processin wid lesser documents but there is a list of canada colleges that fall into this category.

Check this link for more info
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5818E.pdf

There will also be a different checklist but there is no different between the working rules for SPP students and general students. You can work on campus (at the school) as soon you arrive. After you have completed 6 months of study - you will be able to apply for an off campus work permit if you attend one of the following schools:

What is a good Amount to show for a 2 year Program at college
First year tuition of ur program and living expenses(normally 10000$) is enough
