So I am from the united states. I came here in july. Just bought a flight here when I landed I talked to some kind of official person at the airport in kitchener and said I planed on staying for pleasure and expected to stay anywhere between a few weeks to a few months. He stamped my passport and it has the date I arrived and the date I am supposed to leave (i assume) underneath it (date january 17th). What I was hoping to do is go home sometime in early december to visit family. I heard you have to stay for a month before you return or something. I really want to come back in the spring and visit again and see more of the country. Can i go home and then come back for a few more months in the spring. should i bring anything like a letter of invitation from my canadian friends. Or anything else. Is it easy to just go home for a month and then buy another plane ticket back and expect everything to go smoothly. Im not working studying, dont have any criminal issues, didn't do anything wrong. Just a happy go lucky traveler who wants to come back

You can leave and return the next day long as you can convince the IO your just visiting. thats just pretty much what it is being American and crossing regularly convincing the IO ???
