How recent do bank statements have to be?

I got bank statements a couple week ago which corresponded to the latest months available at the time (up to March). However, I've been waiting for job reference letters to be ready and now we're into the season for April bank statements...

Do I need to go to the bank again to get signed/stamped/etc. documents for April?

Usually its recommended that the bank statement is generated after you got ITA and should not be more than a month old. In my case the first thing i did after getting ITA was to get bank statement but then it took me almost a month to get other documents; to be on safe side i again requested the bank to provide the bank letter and bank statements.

I ll suggest that if its not a big trouble to get the bank letter and statements, then get it again. But if by couple of weeks you mean MAX 2 weeks, then i think you should be fine. 3 weeks plus is what i think you should play safe and get the statements again.

yeah i agree it ayam, it should not be more than 3 weeks old ideally... i would feel safer with anything less than 2 weeks
