Hi guys,

How old can the letter from the employer possibly be? I understand that it is better if it is as new as possible, but still, is there a rule that for example, a letter that was issued 2 months ago can't be accepted or something like that?

Thank you,
Elena.

General rule of thumb is to get it after ITA. Anytime after ITA should be fine. If it is 2 months old and it still covers the minimum period (3 years/x years for which you claimed the points), it still might be fine, but I'm not sure on this.

For the current employer, make sure that it is not older than 6 months. Date doesn't matter for previous employers.

dear,
letter doesn't matter until unless your same salary getting paid including same job duties. If there is any change of job role or promotion you should get new one.

Thank you. And what if the manager I worked under is not working there anymore and there is no way to get in touch with him - is it possible to get the letter from the Head of HR?
