Absolutely ridiculous! It's just the excuse people use to justify their bad scores! How silly!!

Most people on chat forums who defend IELTS are IELTS staff using fake profiles.

IELTS is a scam.

And I don't need IELTS. I am here to inform people of the scam. I have my citizenship from birth.
I'm not a native speaker and I scored CLB 10 and my husband scored CLB9, both on our first attempt. We both are not related to IELTS not to mention not even from a first world country. Just because you have citizenship doesn't mean you speak or write well not to mention you could have just had a bad day on examination day. I seriously dislike the victim playing and using racial cards, this forum is full of it as excuses to why things don't work out. Quoting you from another post you wrote: "IELTS are more likely to award strong (honest achievement) scores for people whose applications forms say something like: Name Michael Thomspon, Address: USA, First language : English, Profession: Doctor." People like that will never succeed in life because all they will do is blame other people not realizing they suck themselves. Easier to blame it on everyone else right?

One only needs to read IELTS's policy documents, administration regime and business model to see that IELTS is a profit maximizing scam that deliberately sets most test takers up to fail. The independent research exists. People who ignore this are most likely be one of two people. IELTS sycophants (IELTS employees) who are identifiable by their large numbers of posts and championship member status. If someone has succeeded in their application for Canada, why are they still on this forum? People who passed, and yes IELTS do pass a small percentage on their first attempt, otherwise the scam would be too obvious. The other category is the "I'm alright Jack/Jill" types. I earned a pass, so I'm OK.

Last year the Chief Executive of IDP Education earned a $2,000,000 salary plus a $14,000,000 bonus. IDP Education claim that 60% of their earnings come via IELTS and 40% via student placements.

So the CEO of IELTS (not the Board, just one person) alone earned $9.6m last year just from IELTS. This money does not come from thin air. It comes for IDP Education's policy of failing people as many times as possible to maximize their share price and profits. Did you know that IDP Education trade migrants' futures on the stock market for maximum profits?

I encourage people to do their own reading, and check out the numerous ways that IELTS's administration regime and exam design deliberately sets most test takers up to fail to maximize profits.

The evidence is there. Thousands of hours of scholarly research documented with facts (Exposure Drafts series).

Congratulations to those who are passing IELTS and are succeeding. I wish you well.
