plz follow the required fund for skilled worker categories. it depends on number of family member accompanying with u. hope it will help u.

The funds must be:
1. Available and transferrable;
2. Unencumbered by debts or other obligations.
The amount of funds required is calculated by use of the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) statistic provided by
Statistics Canada. The amount of funds also varies with family size. Currently, the minimum funds required
are:
# OF FAMILY MEMBERS FUNDS REQUIRED

1 CAD$11,086
2 CAD$13,801
3 CAD$16,967
4 CAD$20,599
5 CAD$22,364
6 CAD$26,350
7 CAD$29,337

A little amendment....to what advised by letsgoabroad...(actually the required fund gets updated time to time....)
As per current CIC instruction for a single applicant the required fund is
CAD $11115

You can visit the following web link to verify it by yourself

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

Hope this helps

If you are calculating your funds in your own currency, it might be a good idea to ensure you have a bit more than the specified amount as the Canadian dollar is strong, slightly higher than USD for a few weeks now.

Absolutely correct.
