How much time will it take for background check clearance

Hi everyone,

I have submitted my documents on 7th November after receiving ITA. I got medical clearance on 1st week of December. But after that till now my background check is showing the below message:
"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
Here are the status of other stages:

Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I am wondering should I reach to IRCC to check the current status or wait further. Also I am not sure at what stage my application is currently.

Can anyone please help me here how long do I need to wait further to get know about final status of my application

The average processing time is 6 months as per ircc. So have patience. You could order gcms notes if you wish to see the notes the officers are making on your application. But if you're confident about all your documentation, then I'd say just sit back and wait.
