How much time to enter Canada once your PR has been approved?

Hi there

Would really appreciate advice and help.

How much time does Canada Immigration give you to enter Canada once your PR has been approved/finalized??

Do they only give you a couple of months? Or does it depend on when you had your medical examination done?

Any help would be appreciated.

There are multiple answers to this.

1 if you have little over a month left in 12 months from your medical then you will get time to enter till then

2 if your medical has expired you may get some additional time based on IRCC’s discretion.

if medical is expired due to delay in process you can request extension for submission of your documents or time to enter. If it is expired somehow due to delay in your responses you are responsible for remedial.

My medical expired the day CIC received my passports. They approved my application and gave us 10 months to land.
