I just would like to get the views from the forum members how much time it takes to receive visas after re-medical....i've done with my first medicals on 13th July 2010 and then few days later CHC asked for additional chest x-ray(Lordotic x-ray) which i completed on 3rd August 2010(After 20 days of first medical)...

in my re-medical letter they asked to undergo the medicals within 90 days, i've done it within 5 days, will they open my file after 90 days or they have started looking into it once they receive results from DMP...

my passport is with CHC, how long they can hold the passport?? any replies are highly appreciated...thanks in advance....

Hi prsh,

It all depends of the visa office. My case it took from the 7th of july until yesterday that I got passport rerquest. but my visa office is Kingston, Jamaica. It seems that they will review your file after the time that they have given to submit the medicals has expired. For example in my case I received the medials letter in june 14 but dated May 21 and they said that I have 90 days to submit my medicals last saturday was August 21 which was my 90 days.

Hope this helps!

thanks for your reply Future2010...

my first medical letter was 2nd july 2010 which i recd it on 8th july 2010, they mentioned to submit my medicals within 45 days...

my second letter was dated 26th july which i received it on 29th july, in this letter they asked to submit my medicals within 90 days...so if we consider 90 days from the second letter date, then i think they will open my file on or after 26th October....tats long long time...i think it will take another 6 months for me to get the visas...so uncool... :-[

Every case is unique and depends on the VO. Since you have finished your medical I thingk you should recieved Passport request very soon.
best wishes

Hello Friends

I wonder if you can help on a query.

If you get repeat medicals what is the time limit given to conduct repeat medicals within which you have to comply? Please mention the visa office as well.

Thanks.

I have been asked to submit the result within 90 days...my visa office is New Delhi...

Hi Patel. Could you please tell why CIC asked for re-medical.

not sure why they asked for additional chest x-ray.....they asked for lordotic chest x-ray, i consulted with few forum members(Sachin4canada) they said that, CHC might be having some doubt on my earlier x-ray and asked for additional chest x-ray, may be looking for TB symptoms...

It will be fine. Good Luck.

My wife was asked to redo her medicals within 90 days or her application would be cancelled. Visa office is in New Delhi. She did it within a week of the request but the lab didn't forward the results as of yet. We have 9 days left and the medical centre (Max) still didn't receive the reports although the lab said it was sent to the medical center. Any recommendations on what we can do?
