Dear all,
I will be going to canada early November. I want to know how much money should I carry when landing in canada? Do the immigration authorities check/verify the amount of money that I carry when landing? Plz give ur valuable suggestions. Tia

If you are a single and dependent, then you don't need to carry anything. You would have parents in Canada supporting you financially and provide accommodation.

Bro I am going alone as an immigrant. I don't have any relative whom I will depend upon.

You need to have proof that you have the minimum required funds available to you, but you do not have to have it on you in form of cash/cheque. It is rare that the officer even asks for this. They will ask you how much money you physically have on you, and how much you have "available" to you.

Personally it's up to you how much you carry on you. You can take as much as you want, but you have to tell them. Personally I had about 200$ cash on me and then had the rest in my bank account I could access from Canada.

You can carry as much as you like, but anything above $10'000 you have to declare
