How much should I budget for a 2 bedroom apartment near downtown in Toronto?

Hi,

Me and a friend are thinking of sharing an apartment after we both land in Toronto. How much should we budget for an unfurnished apartment near downtown?

We are both going to look for jobs in the financial sector and hence we would like to stay close to centre of Toronto.
