How much funds will you need when married but entering EE as a single applicant?

Hi All,

In my EE profile, I have shown that I am married but that my wife will not be accompanying me to Canada

I entered 2 in the "number of family members" column and $14,853 in the "funds required" column

How do I fill the "funds required" column correctly because I actually have $11,931 for a single applicant application?

Note: CIC requires you to fill in 2 in the "number of family members" column even if your spouse will not be accompanying you to Canada

You need to show funds for 2 people regardless of if your spouse would be accompanying you or not.

I know non-accompanying spouse and dependants must complete medical checks however I'm not sure of the police checks.
