Dear friends,
If my course fees is 5425 CAD per year and the other expances according to the university website I need 16000 CAD in total. So does 17000 CAD be enough for VISA?

Kindly correct me please,
Kavya

I am still trying to find the difference of those two things.

I dont know whats the difference in them.

@kavya

The Student Partners Program (SPP) is an administrative framework designed and implemented in partnership between the Canadian visa offices in India and the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC). It's aim is to reduce the paper work and timeline involved in applying student visas for genuine students.

Highlights:

Less paper work involved.
Faster processing. (As GS_Stud mention on another post, it may be due to lesser documents to verify and process)

It's simple equation.. First year tuition fee, for example, $11000, 1 year living expense, about $10000 plus extra $3000.. that has to be declared at least.

so $11000+$10000+$3000 = $24000 minmum

You guys are simply great,,
Thanks a lot

Kavya,

For SPP a student loan is compulsion, without it they wont process ur appliction.SPP hass minimum of 2 years study which then get u a 3 year open work permit, after completion of 1 year work permit, u can apply for PR under the Canadian Experience Class.

whereas for other courses its not mandatory to have a student loan.

again u have to show funds of approx. $10,000 for ur self and $4000 for spouse (if accomanying) for the first year only in addition to ur tution fees. Its can be just on banks letter head stating the balance and no bank statement is required.

U can legally work not more than 20 hrs per week till ur study and that too only after completion of ur 1st semester. If ur spouse gets a work permit, he can work full time.

Thanks a lot for details
