Seniors, please enlighten me.

With my wife as the principal applicant, I cam see from the Quebec immigration website's self-evaluation, that we are meeting the criteria.

However, both of us, at this moment, know absolutely "zero French". Well, we can start learning it, and neither of us are too bad at learning new languages. But this will take some time.

Can I start the procedure now? I may need about a month to get all docs, and send the application. And meanwhile we can prepare with French courses.

Or is it absolutely necessary to scores of some French language test?

Please provide your valuable comments.

I would also like to know about this, David's email recommended learning from Rosetta stone, but I am sure it will take some time to learn.

For Quebec Skilled Workers, French is very important and you will be having interview by them

It is as important as English in Federal Skilled Workers

I agree, but it seems that French is needed at the time of interview, which is, at least a few months from now, even if I start the application procedure today.

My query is, can it be a good strategy to start learning French, while continue on the application, and be ready with some French knowledge for the interview once that comes?

Please suggest.

If you do have the minimum points to qualify then apply now and then update your application with french results while it's in process.
After you receive AOR you can send test scores and obtain additional points.
