Is it true that visas are easier for people attending universities like University of British Columbia, McGill University or University of Toronto provided that financial proof and course matches. How much does the reputation of university matters in obtaining the study permit keeping all other factors constant?

I am asking for the Masters program. I believe so It would depend on the university as well because reputed universities admit students after a tough selection process, so yeah. Thank you for the feed back!
