I just added up everything that it cost for us to become PRs through Express Entry (no legal fees or consultants):

$3,462.32 USD for two married people

That includes conversion of CAD for RPRF, EE processing fee, and WES (my three CAD charges). It includes:
  • IELTS Test
  • WES Educational Assessment
  • Oklahoma City Hotel (IELTS Location)
  • FBI Police Certificate
  • Police Fingerprinting in my city
  • PR and Application Photographs (Physical + Digital)
  • Medical Exam/X-Rays/Labs/etc
  • Express Entry Processing Fee + Right of Permanent Residence Fee
  • FedEx Copying Passports and Envelope
  • FedEx Mail to Ottawa
  • FedEx mail new photos to Ottawa
  • FedEx CoPRs back from Ottawa
See my signature for details on timelines and more information (turn your phone sideways if you don't see the signature and you are on a phone).

I applied by myself and my total for immigration-related expenses came to $2012.36. It would be a bit less if I hadn't gone back and had my bachelor's evaluated (~$220 for transcripts + evaluation) and if I had been decisive about which test to take (~$60 non-refundable portion of IELTS fee).

This includes:
  • Transcripts
  • University of Toronto CES ECA
  • Signing up for the IELTS and then canceling said registration
  • CELPIP
  • CELPIP re-evaluation (mostly refunded except for the fluctuation in currency exchange)
  • WES ECA for my bachelor's
  • Transcripts for WES
  • FBI PCC (I did the fingerprints at home-- ink pad cost me maybe $6)
  • Multiple sets of photos
  • Medical exam + Xray
  • RPRF and processing fee
  • Forward mail to Ottawa
  • Return postage from Ottawa
Total: $2,012.36 USD

All costs were either charged in USD or converted to USD using the exchange rate at the time they were posted.

There will be more charges coming up as I make the actual move... things like the RIV fee for importing my car.

Hmm. I neglected to add in transcript request fees and my second set of photos (the first guy refunded me in cash after his photos were rejected and his replacement set looked like crap, but I originally paid via CC). Those are very minor, however, and I don't know if I can find the exact amounts. My bachelors transcript was free. My masters was like $20 I believe. My wife's bachelors and masters were both about $20.
