How many photos do you think is sufficient to include in the application to act as proof when sponsoring your spouse from overseas? How many photos have you included in yours?

Anything from your wedding, from the beginning of your relationship the middle and the now. It is great to show family and friends with you as a couple, trips you took together.

Every person/couple is different but include important things. Milestones of your relationship. There is no exact number. We included about 75-100.

It depends. If the applicant is from a poor country, you need more photos. If the relationship seems to have a lot of 'red flags', you need more photos.
Have a photo for each part of the wedding ceremony - especially important for people getting married in a traditional Hindi ceremony. Have a photo or photos showing the number of guests at the reception. After that, one or two photos from important occasions throughout your relationship, and photos showing you and spouse with each other's friends and family.

include photos from all the ceremonies you had. like you said you had roka ceremony. include few of that , wedding photos, reception photos, honeymoon photos and if you went to meet your spouse after your wedding include those. we included around 200 photos and visa officer was really impressed (Visa Officer told me in my interview).. and remember those photos where was taken and with whom (if someone else is with you) ..

Thanks everyone for the tips.

Simb, if the VO was impressed with your application, why the interview?

Let me correct you the Visa Officer was impressed that we had so many pictures of each and every ceremony even she said "you got so many pictures" and i said in return that "I have more if you want to look at..." and then she laughed and said "these are fine"

About the Interview thing...I dont know.. may be for the identification purpose.. as the Visa Officer asked me questions related to me even though i had loads of proofs of my relationship but she didnt even had a look at it. may be she wanted to see who am i or she wanted to know why so much travel history or sometimes they just pick up file randomly..and i guess they took mine

It's not really about how many it's about when they're from. We sent pictures starting with our first date all the way up to our wedding 3 years later. Most of the pictures were from holidays, trips and family gatherings, so many showed our family around us. We had about 3-5 for each event and about 10 from our wedding.

I agree with bacontoaster.
Moreover its about the quality not quantity. Add pictures from every ceremony and visit
I added pictures right from our first meet then visits before and after wedding, roka ceremony, haldi, bangle, mehndi, sangeet, engagement, wedding, reception, honeymoon... And do write in the picture if its with someone. And the date too.
goodluck

Thanks guys. That's really helpful. My marriage was an arranged marriage so I don't have a lot of together time with my wife, except for the roka and wedding ceremony and spending time afterwards ourselves and with family. I hope that is enough.

Simb, did you write the responses for your wife and the essay for her as well for Part 2? Maybe that's why they interviewed you? Did your wife get interviewed?

We included around 20 pictures for our common-law app. 1 for each major event (trips, meeting family & friends, getting engaged, etc). Most important ones IMO were us with each other's family.
