Well you are American, so good news is you have a very easy path to PR :)

True, Americans have it easier than most but still there is possibility of interview which worries my husband as I mentioned. We really don't care which side of the border we live in so if for some reason it does not work for me to be here then we are ind with him being there, in fact in many ways that is better although in some ways here is better, it was a toss up where to live for us. I am sorry for people who do not have an easy road to their spouses landing. I can imagine the stress and the worries.

1 envelope! There is no need to seperate everything! They will organize it in their own way once its received

I sent one I just paperclipped all pages of each form together and used the checklist for the applicant to separate my stuff from my sponsor's.

I send one. However, send another later for Add document volunteerly.

1 envelope is all you need folks! Keep all the crap and garbage out if they serve no purpose other than to act as filler to make the package look big. This is not an English class, and you are not in school, more pages don’t give you more brownie points. It’s the QUALITY of the document that you want to send out, not the quantity. There is no need to separate everything or put things in any certain way to make it easier for the CIC officer. Use the checklist, that’s what they are there for. Take the checklist; put the document in the order of the list. We have very smart people work at the CIC, I am sure they know what to look for since they are dealing this sort of stuff everyday. I am sure they will go through it with a fine comb once they received your package.

We organized ours file in this order. Sponsorship and Applicant form in one big paper clip, the rest of the document in another big paperclip.

Applicant Documents – forms filled.
