If I am not wrong, it is basically the same time as your studies duration, right?

So, I am studying a One year grad program and my classmates and me were planning on studying another one year program so in total we would have 2 years of studies, therefore, 2 years of open work permit. But we had this conference a couple of days ago where a specialist told us that we would only receive one year, since the time depends on your last program duration.

Is this correct? We have been hearing a total different thing this entire time, so If you can help me clarifying my mind, would be amazing!

Thanks!

As long as each is at least 8 months long, both qualify for a PGWP and are completed within 2 years, you are correct that the length of the work permit should combine the length of each program.
