how long to sponser a spouse to canada from iran?

hello,

i would like to know how long it would take to sponser a spouse from iran to canada? i have heard that it takes nearly 2 years, but i am not sure, can someone please vertify? i have called the immigration office in canada and they cannot seem to be able to tell me how long it will take? i have already posted somewhere else, but no one has answered me.

1. The problem is that the application is processed in Ankara, which shows an average of 5 months for 80% of the applications. But I would think that Iranian citizens will take longer. There are no spousal application processing times listed in Trackitt for Iranians.

There are many Iranians there. We just had an Iranian got Visa in 7 months and we have people waiting more tha 15 months. It depends on many different factors. But avrage is about 12 months.
