Hi
I am moving to canada next year. Lets say i get offered a job within a month, how long after that should i get my employee to apply for the lmo. I can not ask him to do it straight away because i think that is a bit checky. how long does that application take, and if it is refused first time how long until it is processed again, help please.

Without an LMO you cannot work.....period

Nothing cheeky about it....an employer whom offers you a job has to have an LMO for you. No LMO...no job....simple.

I think you may be a little confused and suggest you research working in Canada on the CIC website

I intend to come to canada on a bunac and therefore do not need to pass the lmo when offered my first job. however to remain there i will have to apply for a work permit and therefore pass the lmo. once i have my first job how long should i wait to pass the lom. how long does the process take to do

General advice is, your employer should apply for the LMO approximately 4 months before the expiration of your work permit. Processing times for the LMO may vary by province (you can find these on the web, but they change all the time - today's info will not help you much next year).
