Assalam alaykum

My spouse visa processing has started 2nd week of May,2012. How long will it take for me to get the visa? I mean when will they get back to me to send the passport?

Note: I submitted in October,2011.... couple of days before the waiting limit changed to 22 months from 6-12 months. So, I suppose I fall in 6-12 months phase.

Also, Dhaka office is now closed. So, I'll have to send my passport to Singapore via registered mail ,right?

Please advice.

Regards

Rose

If it went to Singapore, the average time is 21 months.

If you are from any of these places, your VO is Singapore: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam

Plus, I'd double check that it's not illegal to send your passport to another country, some countries consider it illegal.

Hi Parker!

Thank you for your reply. My application was received when the time limit was 6-12 months. So, I believe I'll fall in this time limit, not 22 months as this rule was introduced days after my application was received by them.

Any spouse visa applicant from Bangladesh, please?

No it's 21 months. Whichever is up, is usually the limit, but it's the average limit.

Hi:

Did you include the National ID information in the form IMM008? I know that they ask this question but will there be an issue if my wife omit's it? The name is spelled wrongly. I am wooried that the ID # is shown as a personal id number on the new passport. Don't know what to do. It will take month to fix the ID, which is not that important to the overall application.

Hi, I applied for my wife on 28 june, 2012. Singapore received the file on 10th september, 2012. That time, singapore processing time was 22 months. Now it is 28 months. Can anybody know which processing time will be applicable for my case? 22 months or 28 months? Thank you very much to all. Best wishes. -RIPON
